I thought a lot about our therapeutic development for Wolfram syndrome in the past several weeks. I feel that drug-repurposing may not be good enough. I firmly believe that we need a breakthrough therapy for Wolfram syndrome. This year, I would like to spend more time for developing regenerative gene therapy, especially for visual impairment. In parallel, I would like to develop a second-generation dantrolene which is more potent and safe. These are my two goals in 2018.
Thank you for being with me. I feel that we will go into a new stage. I am hopeful and grateful.
Passion,
Fumi
