The Rare Disease Day Symposium at Washington University was a great success, and it was exciting to see the official launch of the Center for Rare Diseases. I have so much respect for Dr. Patricia Dickson and her team for making this happen, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of the center as a founding steering committee member. I look forward to working toward better care for patients with rare genetic disorders, including Wolfram syndrome.
