Here is a question that I often get. “Should we get our child’s genome (i.e., the entire DNA information) sequenced?” This is a challenging question because my answer to this question may change based on the development of our technology. As of today, my answer is “No.” The contrast between our ability to identify genetic variations and our ability to fully interpret the information still gives rise to the many ethical issues.
