I came back from Boston this morning. Although I had to wake up 3:30 am to catch the first plane to St. Louis to attend multiple meetings to prepare for my trip to NIH, I felt empowered.
One of the most important things that I would like to introduce at NIH is the establishment of the BEST genetic test for inherited diabetes. That’s one of my immediate goals because the test I am envisioning leads to early diagnosis of inherited diabetes including Wolfram syndrome. The methods for early diagnosis should be hand in hand with novel treatments. The development of a new genetic test for inherited diabetes is challenging especially because we are trying to use the cutting edge and novel technology. However, I will keep on pushing the envelope and make this dream a reality. We will make the BEST genetic test for inherited diabetes.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
Warmest regards,
