I am thrilled to share my experience attending the Wolfram Syndrome UK conference 2023, which was held on September 30, 2023, to honor the Global Wolfram Syndrome Day on October 1st. It was a wonderful opportunity to present our therapeutic developments and ongoing and future clinical trial plans for Wolfram syndrome, and I was delighted to attend the conference in person. The conference was incredibly well organized and provided an educational experience for patients and family members. I was particularly impressed by how the event created a supportive and empathetic environment for all attendees. It was truly enlightening to learn about patients’ and families’ feelings and needs, and I left feeling even more committed to our mission of finding a cure for Wolfram syndrome.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Wolfram Syndrome UK team, Tracy Lynch, Paul Lynch, Alan Nye, Charli Nye, Dr. Gina Isherwood, Georgina King, Phillippa Farrant, John Isherwood, and others. Your hard work and dedication made this conference a huge success. I would also like to thank Dr. Barrett, who attended via Zoom, for his partnership and support throughout this journey. Finally, I look forward to returning to the UK next year to continue collaborating with the wonderful people I met at the conference. Thank you all for making this such a memorable and meaningful experience!
