I have learned that Margaret Hamburg, MD, U.S. FDA Commissioner, will step down. Under Dr. Hamburg’s leadership, US FDA has approved many drugs for orphan diseases. I appreciate Dr. Hamburg’s efforts, and hope that this trend will continue to help our patients.
